Flood relief

Typhoon Yagi destroyed Lao Cai - province in which Lua Non conducts most of our scholarship work. Many families' houses went under water, including those of our students. Some kids are in hospital, injured, some lost their family.

Nong Viet Ha, our coordinator on the ground, said that: "It was like the end of the world. Those who survived still cower in terror at the slightest hint of rain. People are starving, in dire need of clean water, hygiene products, and other basic necessities."

Your donation will help us distribute money, hygiene products, and food directly to the families as well as build temporary shelter in Lao Cai. Thank you so much <3

In these pictures you can see the aftermath of typhoon Yagi in Lao Cai.

An entire village Nu disappeared completely in a flash flood, with 46 confirmed dead, others are missing. People's livelihood - furniture, cattle, farms, all gone.

Out of 72 schools in Lao Cai, only 13 started operating again. Teachers gathered students at risk of their houses collapsing to stay at school grounds.
